Message from the commissioner
I don’t hide that the College Media Advisors conferences were a highlight of my college journalism days and that the first year made me fall in love with the city of Louisville, Ky. It’s also not a secret the second year, in Orlando, was better because I got to hang out with Jeremiah.
After meeting Jake Lovett and Jessie Opoien at the previous conference, Jake stepped up as the new editor in chief and hired Jeremiah as his successor for the sports desk. I’m a sports guy, and they must have warned Jeremiah about us before Orlando because he fit right in like he’d been with us the year before.
Jeremiah knows sports. No, I mean he really knows sports. He even has a deep knowledge of racing, which I don’t but can objectively appreciate. He’s worked hard to carve out a niche for himself in the ranks of reporters in Iowa, and I have to believe he will only continue to rise.
Jeremiah is a Friend™ because he has some of the best trash talk I’ve encountered and makes an effort to include everyone.
Also, it just wouldn’t feel like Friendship Madness without him.
